Will 'No Name-Calling Week' Live Up to its Name?

It’s time in schools again for “No Name-Calling Week.” And that means your children will get a load of harmful propaganda and half-truths.

Lesson plans are unveiled each January developed by GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. There are many problems when schools use this deceptive program.

“No Name- Calling Week” started in 2004 as an outgrowth of the messages of a pro-homosexual teen book, “The Misfits” by James Howe.

Just to be fair, there is some helpful anti-bullying material in these lesson plans but also some extremely inappropriate content, which is why the whole package should be rejected. Teachers can access alternate curricula that don’t validate homosexual behavior and gender confusion.

Because of the growing influence of homosexual activism, our kids in schools are inundated with messages that “LGBT kids” are bullied mercilessly, subjected to name-calling, and there’s no end in sight.

It’s classic propaganda and “No-Name Calling Week” is a sneaky vehicle to convey it.

What many of us would like to stop is intentional politicization of the bullying problem by GLSEN, the Human Rights Campaign and others to support their depraved agenda. Homosexual and “transgender” identities and behavior should never be treated as inborn traits and promoted to students.

And there’s also the hypocrisy of selective outrage.

No name-calling? When do conservative Christian students and teachers get respect? What about supporters of our president?

GLSEN even has a Twitter campaign for “No Name-Calling Week”-- #KindnessinAction.

Pardon my moment of cynical laughter as I recall the vicious emails and calls I get from “gay” supporters. How much kindness is shown by GLSEN to conservative Christians who don’t applaud effeminate teen boys having intimate relations with other boys, or who see GLSEN’s signature “achievement”—establishing homosexual clubs in schools – as a cultural American tragedy?

How about #FairtoChristians? Or #StopGLSENhypocrites?

People like us are viewed by GLSEN as the scum of the earth, if you discern their messages and those of other advocates of “LGBT” behavior.

Here’s an example of the nonsense students are supposed to learn, taken from a GLSEN’s “No-Name-Calling” lesson:

“Anti-LGBT bias, along with racism, sexism, classism, and all forms of oppression, affect all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, by derailing our constitutional promises of equality, fairness and freedom for all people. “

Did you get a load of that leftist claptrap? Let’s dissect its embedded bias and conceptual flaws.

“Anti-LGBT bias” is how GLSEN apparently views biblically-based moral objections to homosexual behavior. It’s not true that the values conveyed in Scripture qualify as “bias” akin to “racism.”

Our God is good and His standards are holy and wonderful. Can I get an Amen?

GLSEN, this is intellectual dishonesty and name-calling. It also promotes vile passions to children.

Telling a 12-year-old girl that lesbian behavior is sinful is not “oppression.” It’s a kind message which many ex-homosexuals are eternally grateful someone shared with them.

And those upholding God’s truth about homosexuality do not interfere with anyone’s “constitutional promises of equality” etc. No boy was born to have anal sex with another boy. There is already equality under the Constitution in our country based on noble concepts like religious faith and free speech, or immutable characteristics.

Neither homosexuality nor gender delusions fall into these categories. Those with same sex attractions are protected equally based on the lawful application of our actual (not imagined) Constitution.

If so-called “LGBTQ” deviance is ever added to U.S. civil rights law, it will make no sense and signal the coming demise of our republic.

Despite occasional school-sponsored animosity, Christians need to keep a stiff upper lip, teach our children to do the same, and steer clear of activist campaigns from outside groups about phony “kindness.”

I am waiting for the confessional lesson plan from GLSEN admitting their own history of false and harmful accusations of “hate” and “bigotry.” Is a stand against sodomy like racial discrimination? Of course it’s not.

With sin endorsement tacked onto anti-bullying lessons, the takeaway of “No-Name Calling Week” for impressionable students is that Christians and conservatives are responsible for bullying and violence.

Who are our culture’s current actual bullies? Everyone knows it’s the “LGBTQ” activist crowd. I submit my own emails as Exhibit A.

It is true some kids who identify as homosexual, or boys who dress in girl clothes, are treated badly. No one should be unkind to anyone, but in these circumstances, there is an obvious solution.

Schools should refuse to accept the inaccurate designation of some children as “LGBTQ” people—as if these are different humans, or akin to racial differences. Schools should set a standard that no student calls him or herself “gay” or dresses in opposite sex clothes. But many schools have “progressed” far beyond any such moral, child-protective standard.

So, if some children insist on posing in ways that do not fit their bodies nor common sense, and parents and school officials concur, the other students are supposed to nod and say, “This is wonderful”? Is this truthful?

Aren’t we asking kids to accept a lie, one more time?

Actual bullying is never justified, but what about a frank suggestion, peer-to-peer? “Hey, friend, did you ever consider…not wearing a skirt?” Today, that would be called harassment and any student delivering such advice would be subject to discipline.

GLSEN’s rigid code enforcing sexual corruption would not allow the free expression of such a message.

So suppressing reality is the first lesson for many kids in today’s schools. Still, self-control is a fruit of the Spirit, and indeed, there could be more kindness all the way around.

But we parents still must stand up and courageously protect our kids.

Just say “no” to girls with bound breasts, to boys having anal sex, and in fact, to any sex before authentic, male/female marriage.

And because of its inherent lies, divisiveness and corrupting influence, refuse to allow “No Name-Calling Week” in your school.
