Manipulates Bullying Issue to Promote Homosexuality
Giving special protection to homosexuals and cross-dressing students who are bullied, a California congresswoman has introduced a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives to create federal “anti-bullying” school programs.
Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) introduced H.R. 2262,"to amend the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act to include bullying and harassment prevention programs." This bill includes pro-homosexual language with the goal of using the issue of school bullying to force indoctrination training sessions on students and teachers by federal law.
The bill says it will establish "programs that address the causes of bullying and harassment and that train teachers, administrators, pupil services personnel, and other school personnel regarding strategies to prevent bullying and harassment and to effectively intervene when such incidents occur." Some of the training relates to bullying over the “real or perceived” sexual orientation and gender identity of students.
How does this work? Well, let’s look at an example from a state that already passed a similar law. In Iowa, teachers in some school districts endure the most outrageous in-service training imaginable. The Council Bluffs, Iowa school district, Loess Hills Area Education Agency 13, gives a two-day teacher training course called “How to Make My Classroom Safe for LGBT Students.” As part of the training, “Videos will be used from Anderson Cooper 360, 'Will & Grace,' and several popular film segments like Brokeback Mountain and Latter Days.”
The course also uses the sexually graphic teen novel, Rainbow Boys, which describes three teen boys' homosexual behavior, and the children’s book about supposedly "gay" penguins raising a penguin baby, And Tango Makes Three.
Such legislation could also be called the "Silencing Traditional Values" bill. In order to counteract bullying, students and teachers do not have to be trained to have pro-homosexual attitudes to produce a politically correct "safe climate" in schools, nor should they be forced to remain silent with appropriately-expressed opposition to homosexuality and gender confusion. This discriminates against freedom of conscience, freedom of religion and essentially becomes a measure to police thoughts through manipulating an issue of concern to all parents: having an authentically safe and civil school climate.
The federal bill is now in the House Education and Labor Committee. Call your congressman about this bill!
